Lupita came to BBBS about a year and a half ago and has made a big impact on the agency. She has become the face of BBBS for families who enroll their children to be matched with a mentor—she is the first person they see when they come through the doors as well as the first person they speak to over the phone. “Multitasking is a huge part of my day. As the family intake specialist, I enroll families from the start to finish. One moment, I’m explaining our enrollment process to a family over the phone; the next I’m helping to schedule appointments; and after that, I’m handling anything office- or reception-related. It’s definitely challenging but very fun and rewarding.”[/fwp-anim-text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”” width=”1/3″][fwp-anim-text animated=”true” animation=”enter right move 10px over 1s after”]Can you share a memorable moment at BBBS?
“The most memorable part about my job is seeing the kids get matched. I see them when they first come in for an interview and when they come back to meet their mentor. It’s such a big difference: At first they’re really nervous and a little unsure about it all; then when they’re matched, they’re really excited and happy and can’t stop smiling. “Brateil Aghasi (Director of Community-Based Programs). We’ve known each other for 11 years and used to work together. … She is a big supporter and very encouraging of everything I do. Before I came to BBBS, I went to culinary school and she was so excited for me.
