Grant Spotlight: The PIMCO Foundation

A longtime supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County, the PIMCO Foundation has been instrumental in our organization’s success; in the past two years, it has played a key role in the Destination Future program.

This year, the PIMCO Foundation awarded Big Brothers Big Sisters with a grant of $25,000. The grant will help build upon the success of our program by enhancing our Destination Future initiative to support youth in program after they graduate high school through age 25.

The PIMCO Foundation is the charitable arm of PIMCO, and seeks and invests in strategic, high-impact opportunities through which the company can address important community needs and organize for change. Under the PIMCO Foundation’s education pillar of philanthropy, investments are made in innovative organizations that see low-income, high-risk, first-generation college students to and through college. This pillar fits directly into the Destination Future program priority.

“We are so honored that the PIMCO Foundation has selected Big Brothers Big Sisters as a 2017-18 grantee. This grant will play a significant role as we strive to better serve youth in our program who are on a journey to complete a college degree or vocational certification and become financially stable as young adults.” – Melissa Beck, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters
