[vc_row][vc_column][fwp-anim-text extra_class=””]Two lucky Big Brothers Big Sisters matches were invited to attend a recent hitting clinic hosted by BodyArmor, a sports drink company with a mission to provide “the best in sports nutrition and hydration to today’s athletes” — including young, aspiring ones.
During the clinic, 12-year-old Little Brother Anthonie practiced his swing, learned new drills and worked on hitting mechanics. Then he met one of his baseball idols: Mike Trout.
The Angels outfielder and Big Brothers Big Sisters ambassador partnered with BodyArmor to participate in an exclusive meet and greet during the clinic, which included a Q&A session with hundreds of local youth. Before sitting down with the group of kids to answer questions, Trout spent some one-on-one time with Anthonie and his Big Brother Drew.[/fwp-anim-text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][fwp-anim-text extra_class=””]
“I’ve been struggling in school,” Anthonie began when asked what he learned from Trout. “I’m going to really think about what he said about bringing up my grades.”

Frank has dreams of being a professional baseball player one day. If that doesn’t work out, he wants to be an engineer. When he met Trout, Frank admits he was nervous but mostly excited to meet “the best player in baseball.”
