It Takes Little to Be Big: A Mural That Reflects the Heart of Our Mission
To celebrate the launch of our 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, we unveiled a powerful new mural at our Santa Ana office. Painted by local artist Carla Roque with help from our Bigs and Littles, this mural serves as a vibrant symbol of our bold new vision: deeper impact, greater community engagement, and a future where every child feels seen.
A Vision Made Visible
On May 22, our community gathered to witness the reveal—not just of a mural, but of what’s possible when we come together in support of youth. The mural illustrates the strength of mentorship and the power of showing up. It’s a reflection of our shared belief that small acts—like two hangouts a month—can create lifelong impact.
More than just a piece of art, this mural captures the spirit of our movement: rooted in trust, connection, and the promise that every young person deserves to be empowered and encouraged.
Designed by Community, For Community
This project was designed not just for our community, but with it. Bigs and Littles worked alongside Carla to bring the artwork to life—an experience that added even more meaning to the finished piece. Together, they created a visual representation of what our relationships are all about: mutual growth, joy, and belonging.
The mural’s message, “It Takes Little to Be Big,” reflects the core of our mission. It reminds us that mentorship doesn’t require perfection—it simply requires presence.
